![]() | About UsVest Design Seven (Pty) Ltd is a private South African company which was registered in 1999 by Charl du Mont who identified the needs of the rubber manufacturing industry to reduce waste to landfill as a recycler of various grades of production waste. Vest Design Seven was instrumental in managing all rubber waste types for Goodyear SA and complied with all standards and requirements when Goodyear SA reached its target goal of Zero Waste to Landfill in March 2008. Goodyear SA is the only plant globally to achieve the Zero waste status and Vest Design Seven is the only Company in Africa to be the first to achieve the required standards to manage all the Rubber related scrap when the above achievement was reached by Goodyear SA. Vest Design Seven achieved and complied with all audits and requirements to be a listed Goodyear SA vendor. The company is subjected to quarterly Safety Health and Environmental audits (Pro Safe) and we strive and implement the minimum requirements to comply with the ISO 14001 standards. It is our future goal to be certified with ISO 14001. Vest Design Seven also manages the rubber related waste types for Continental SA, Bridgestone Firestone SA and Dunlop SA. The company’s head office is situated at 2 Sturrock Street, Deal Party, Port Elizabeth and its branch offices are situated in Durban, KZN and Brisbane, Australia.
ServicesPresently there are 3 main divisions in the company: 1. Rubber and related production waste recycling: The company attends to the import, export and processing of various grades of rubber production waste generated by inter alia the manufacturers of tyres, synthetic rubber, windscreens and conveyor belt. At present we are interested in the following materials: Tyre Manufacturers Waste: 1. Any grade unvulcanised rubber compound 2. Used bagomatic bladders 3. Rubberized friction 4. Rubberized Steel cord 5. Scrap Tubes 6. Scrap Green tyre 7. Scrap uncured butyl and nitrile Synthetic Rubber Manufacturers: Any grade Scrap/Off spec and plant clean up (PCU) of SBR/PBR Conveyor Belt Manufacturers: Cut pieces of Conveyor Belt Used nylon conveyor belt Off-spec conveyor belt Windscreen Manufacturers: Scrap PVB cuttings Fabric/Nylon Rejected lot of Polyester/Nylon Strapping 2. Plastic Recycling: The company’s plastic recycling division is situated in Sturrock Street, Deal Party, Port Elizabeth. We purchase materials from the largest local plastic manufacturing and related industries for processing and recycling. At present we attend to the recycling of inter alia the following pre-consumer scrap plastic materials: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) Polypropylene (PP) High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Polyvinyl Chlorine (PVC) Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Polyvinal Butyral (PVB)
3. Cardboard and Paper Recycling
The cardboard and paper recycling division specialises in the processing and recycling of K4 (Corrugated Cartons cardboard), HL2 / Supermix (clean computer printouts, sorted white and pastel coloured paper), CMW (common mixed waste) newspaper, phone books, magazines and catalogues. These materials are exported once processed.
